Role description &
Responsibilities:
Orbital ATK seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in FPGA Design to support implementation of cutting edge Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms on FPGAs. Responsibilities include:
Implementation of real-time DSP algorithms on FPGA devices
Realization of customer requirements in hardware designs
Implementation of designs using industry standard tool sets
Hardware integration in a lab environment
Close interaction with internal engineering team and Orbital ATK customers
Experience Requirements:
5-10 years of FPGA design
Hardware development using Xilinx
RTL coding using VHDL
Realizing hardware designs based upon customer requirements
Hardware design documentation
Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance
Experience Preferred:
Simulation and analysis using MATLAB
Background in wireless communications systems
Embedded development using C/C++
Skills &
Qualifications:

Excellent Communication Skills, with ability to communicate at detailed technical level as well as distill advanced concepts into fundamental principles for teammates
Ability to act as a professional and competent technical customer liaison
Agility to perform in a multi-disciplinary research & development environment
Education/Certifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field; M.S. preferred
