The Human Resource Director is responsible for all community-wide Human Resource functions, including employee relations, benefits, workers' compensation, recruitment, new hire orientation, safety/OSHA and labor law compliance.
BRIEF
Job Description:
- Manages employee relations function, which includes complaint investigation and resolution, providing assistance to management team in staff coaching and counseling, administration of Company policies, and related risk management
- Processes and manages workers' compensation claims and acts as the workers' compensation liaison, evaluates and reports to directors' injury and accident trends.
-Supports the leadership team in all aspects of recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, post-offer contingency satisfaction and new hire Human Resources paperwork.
- Manages the benefits function, including coordination of annual open enrollment fairs/process and answers questions employees may have regarding benefits.
-Assesses, plans and provides or arranges training to meet ongoing staff needs. Coordinates quarterly All Staff Meeting agendas in conjunction with the Executive Director.
-Prepares all exempt staff and Administrative nonexempt staff payroll, answers employee questions regarding payroll, and distributes checks.
- Keeps files up to date, and confidential, including all HR related forms, and the Medical Department's needs with licensing.
- Ensures that all employees' annual job readiness physicals and TB clearances, licensing, and I-9 documentation requirements are current and compliant.
- Responsible for OSHA and HIPAA compliance and reporting.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be organized, flexible, and work well under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and active listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with HRIS experience.
- Effective planning/organization, analytical and problem solving, and statistical/financial skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years experience in Human Resources, with expertise in employee relations.
- Long term care experience is an added plus!
