OUTPATIENT DIABETES AND NUTRITION THERAPY PROGRAM MANAGER

The Outpatient Nutrition and Diabetes Program Manager (Manager) manages the Medical Nutrition Therapy Program (nutrition assessment, nutrition support, patient intervention and education) and the Diabetes Program for outpatients designated outpatient programs.
Requirements:
1. The Outpatient Diabetes and Nutrition Therapy Program Manager must be either;
o a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or
o another licensed, certified or registered health professional with experience in diabetes education.
2. Master's degree is required.
3. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
4. Fluency, the ability to communicate orally, and the ability to read and write in English.
5. Experience managing projects independently and the ability to work in a team setting.
6. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to include public speaking and writing skills for creation of correspondence and newsletters.
7. Demonstrated supervision, leadership, and financial oversight, with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
8. Curriculum, course and/or program development.
9. Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
10. The ability to project a positive, warm, friendly and healing attitude to the patients of Community Hospital and to the community.

o Flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapid changes in job requirements.
11. This position requires a current, valid CA driver's license, automobile insurance as required by the State of California, and an automobile available for daily work.
Preferences:
1. Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) preferred
2. Experience managing an outpatient diabetes program and/or nutrition program strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have managed an Outpatient Diabetes program. Management of the program should include supervising at least a small group of Dietitians. Candidates without supervisory experience will not be considered.

Base Salary - $94,300 to $114,500
