Automation Controls Engineer

Yoh has an exciting, full time opportunity for an Automation Controls Engineer to join our Aerospace client. This is a critical role working with innovative electrical systems and controls software for machinery used in assembling & testing components and sub-systems for aircraft. The ideal candidate will have 2-5
years of relevant experience and live within a commutable distance to the office in Monterey, California for an in-person work environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop systems for assembling, installing, and validating flight critical components.
Enhance equipment commissioning to boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Develop, program, and debug PLC software to ensure functionality and scalability across the organization.
Design intuitive and user-friendly HMI and SCADA tools.
Integrate production data into databases and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for streamlined monitoring and analysis.
Lead design integration efforts to ensure compliance with initial requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Innovate and implement tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:

Minimum of Associates Degree in Engineering or related industry (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical or related fields
Strong engineering knowledge with excellent problem-solving abilities
Expertise in PLC programming languages like Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, or Siemens
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB
Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment and systems
Ability to design systems incorporating mechatronic and pneumatic components
Proven track record in troubleshooting electrical systems to resolve issues promptly
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and eagerness to collaborate across teams
