Summary:
Reservations Agent is primarily responsible for communicating the selling status of the hotel with the reservations agents and all other departments.
They will maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction and loyalty.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain complete knowledge of each property and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
Determine guests needs and quote them appropriate room and rate per reservations shop call requirements.
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities and information.
Complete daily check lists thoroughly and accurately.
Update and check reservations during daily audits to ensure flawless check in and check out process.
Cultivate collaborative, mutually supportive relationships with and among customers, community, sales office, and hotel staff.
Optimize revenue by monitoring all distribution channels.
Is accountable for following proper sales strategy and being knowledgeable of updated promotions/packages at each property.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous reservations/revenue experience in a hospitality setting is preferred Experience with a property management system Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Basic math skills JOB REQUIREMENTS:
