Responsibilities:
Assist journeyman by performing a variety of tasks of lesser skills, and the more routine duties of the trade.
Assist journeyperson in operation of power machines and tools by holding and feeding materials.
Use hand and portable power tools of the trade.
Keep journeyperson supplied with tools, materials, and parts.
Must have sufficient knowledge of the common and most typical operations of trades to assist intelligently the journeyman in operations Performs preliminary and preparatory work, digs trenches, breaks up concrete, etc.
, to facilitate repairs and installations.
The ideal candidate for this position has knowledge or skills in the following:
Perform minor maintenance work involving operational and preventive maintenance.
Identify and remember the use of tools, parts, and equipment required to perform a specific maintenance task.
Skilled in using power or electrical tools to perform specific maintenance tasks.
Ability to follow directions.
Follow safety guidelines and practices to avoid unnecessary exposure to hazards and injury.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License Must hold U.
S.
Citizenship Aged 18 or older at time of hire Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
