Opportunity:
We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) to join our team and manage mid to large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the Monterey region.
Our clients include colleges, universities, K-12 districts, healthcare systems, entertainment venues and more.
The new PM will represent Otto Construction in a professional manner as the liaison between our office and field, subcontractors, owners, architects and engineers.
The PM will review plans and specs to ensure accuracy and establish baseline schedules for each subcontractor or self-performing team.
The PM will track project costs, participate in promoting and enforcing Otto's safety program, and be responsible for completion of all change orders, RFIs, and owner pay applications.
PM will also oversee shop drawings and submittals, write subcontracts and purchase orders for projects, manage subcontractor relationships, and conduct regular jobsite coordination meetings.
The PM will supervise and mentor project engineers and field administrative staff.
The PM will also manage client relationships and provide ongoing communication throughout the project.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction is preferred Professional Degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field is preferred Detailed understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling Advanced understanding of drawings and specifications as well as constructability Ability to write and communicate subcontractor scope of work documents Strong communications skills, both written and verbal Technology:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Scheduling Software (i.
e.
- Powerproject, P6, etc.
) and Database Project Management Software (i.
e.
- Sage 300, Procore, etc.
